Rolex Datejust 36 Vintage, 1601/4

We proudly presents this stylish vintage Rolex Datejust 36 watch for sale in fine condition, fully checked and authenticated in our accredited workshop. 

Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This iteration of the Datejust, reference 1601/4 is discontinued and comes set in a polished 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with fitted with an engine turned bezel. It features a gorgeous silver sunburst stepped service dial with applied baton hour markers, matching hands and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by an acrylic plexi-glass with a cyclops lens for the date. Its 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by a screw-down crown, with the watch powered by the automatic calibre 1570 movement. Lastly, it is completed by the iconic stainless steel Jubilee bracelet with a folding Rolex clasp.

Originally produced in circa 1966 and in fine condition due to small marks throughout, coming supplied with a Rolex service box + pouch, service booklet and Rolex service card (April 2016).

This Datejust is sold with our 12-Month warranty from the date of purchase.  

Please be advised that this reference (1601/4) should have an 18ct white gold fluted bezel, however an engine turned bezel has been fitted since being serviced by Rolex in April 2016.
