Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This model reference the 16200 was launched in 1988 and was produced until the mid-2000’s. It came with a number of upgrades such as solid end lugs, a sapphire crystal glass and an upgraded movement. The dial is clean silver sunburst with applied silver baton hour markers and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. This is protected by a sapphire crystal glass with a cyclops lens at 3 o'clock for the date, and the watch is fitted with a screw-down crown to allow for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). Inside the watch lies the automatic calibre 3135 chronometer mechanism with quick date-change. This Datejust is then completed by the iconic stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oyster clasp.

Originally purchased in January 1997 and in mint condition for its age, this Datejust comes supplied with its original Rolex inner and outer box, seal, translation booklet, Oyster booklet, Datejust booklet, leather card holder and original perforated warranty paperwork. It is sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
