Originally launched in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date President has remained as the brand’s signature luxury watch. Exclusively crafted in precious metals, few luxury watches come close to the prestige, excellence, and timelessness of the Rolex President. When Rolex introduced the Day-Date, it was the first watch include the day of the week written in full at 12 o’clock along with the date window at 3 o’clock. Another hallmark of the Rolex Day-Date is its bracelet, officially named the ‘President’ bracelet. Characterized by its semi-circular links, the President bracelet is almost as famous as the timepiece itself, not to mention the icons who wore one.

Following on from the Day-Date 41 this reference 228239 was launched in 2015 and comes set in a slightly smaller polished 40mm solid 18ct white gold Oyster case with a matching fluted bezel. The dial is a striking olive green sunburst finish and features contrasting white gold applied even Roman numerals. The dial is finished off with a day indicator aperture at 12 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock with the cyclops and sapphire crystal glass. Powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 3255 chronometer movement and comes presented on the iconic 18ct white gold President bracelet with hidden folding clasp.

Originally purchased in 2022 and in unworn condition, this Day-Date comes complete with its original inner & outer boxes, swing tag, seal, instruction booklet, warranty booklet and international warranty card. This Day-date benefits from coverage of its Rolex manufacturers warranty until 2027.
