We are proud to present the 40mm model Rolex Explorer for sale, in as new condition, fully checked and authenticated by our accredited workshop.

The Explorer, launched in 1953, set itself apart with a simple design and a highly legible black dial with large hour markers and characteristic 3,6,9 numerals. It is a tool watch, created to tell time accurately, whatever the circumstances and has adorned the wrists of some of the greatest explorers undertaking incredible expeditions (like Sir Edmund Hillary to Mount Everest).

This version of the Explorer, reference 224270 is brand new for 2023 and showcases the new 40mm sized case with smooth polished bezel. The dial has a new glossy black finish and is defined by its iconic applied 3,6,9 hour markers and Mercedes hour hand, all of which are fitted with Rolex’s Chromalight luminous filling for superior legibility. The glass is sapphire crystal and is fitted with a twin-lock screw down crown for water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). Powered by the automatic calibre 3230 movement, and coming fitted on a matching stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp.

Originally purchased in February 2026 and in as new condition. This Explorer comes with its original inner and outer boxes, green seal, swing tag, instruction booklet and international warranty card. This Explorer is under warranty until 2031.
