Since its inception in 1954 the Rolex GMT-Master has been the master of the skies and has adorned the wrists of pilots, astronauts and aviation enthusiasts ever since. Originally designed in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, the Rolex GMT-Master was initially created for Pan AM and issued by them to their pilots and crews on long-haul flights. The key feature of the watch was that it allowed the wearer to simultaneously reference two different time zones with its unique 24 hour bi-rotational bezel.

This reference the 116710BLNR was produced from 2013 until 2019 and was the first version of the GMT-Master to have a blue/black ceramic bezel. This was a unique colour combination for the GMT-Master series and it has since become known as ‘the Batman’ among collectors. This watch features the Cerachrom bezel insert, which is bi-rotational and engraved for 24-hour measurement. The dial is a glossy black maxi-dial and fitted with Chromalight luminous hour markers and hands, edged in white gold to prevent tarnishing. The GMT hand is a contrasting blue and the dial is finished off with the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. Fitted with a sapphire crystal glass and powered by the Rolex 3186 automatic movement on a matching steel Rolex Oyster link bracelet with a folding safety clasp.

Originally purchased in February 2018 and in mint condition, this GMT-Master II comes with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, seal, instruction booklet, leather warranty holder and international warranty card.
