Since its inception in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master has remained the definitive instrument for global travel, adorning the wrists of pilots, astronauts and aviation professionals alike. Originally developed in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, the model was engineered specifically for long-haul flight crews, enabling the simultaneous reading of two time zones. This functionality is achieved via its distinctive 24-hour bi-directional bezel in conjunction with an independently adjustable GMT hand, forming the foundation of its enduring technical significance. 

The GMT's bi-directional bezel is precision-engraved for 24-hour indication and has earned the model its ‘Batman’ nickname among collectors. The glossy black maxi dial is configured with Chromalight luminescent hour markers and hands, each set in 18ct white gold surrounds to prevent oxidation. The central GMT hand is rendered in a contrasting blue for immediate legibility, while the date aperture at 3 o’clock is magnified by the Cyclops lens integrated into the sapphire crystal. Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3285, a self-winding mechanical movement incorporating the Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring and offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve, certified to Superlative Chronometer standards. The watch is fitted to a solid-link Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel, secured by a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Easylink comfort extension.

This reference 126710BLNR (Oyster), reintroduced in 2021 following a brief hiatus from standard production, features the instantly recognisable blue and black Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert, this watch was originally purchased in July 2021 and is presented in mint condition, supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, green seal, GMT-Master instruction booklet, guarantee manual, green leather warranty card holder, original purchase receipt and international warranty card.
