Originally developed in collaboration with Pan American World Airways (Pan Am), the GMT-Master was designed to meet the specific needs of international pilots and frequent travellers. Launched in 1954, the GMT-Master quickly became an icon with its distinctive two-tone bezel, allowing wearers to track multiple time zones simultaneously. The inaugural model, reference 6542, set the stage for a series of evolutions, introducing improvements like the iconic Cyclops lens for enhanced date visibility. Over the years, the GMT-Master has evolved into a symbol of both technical prowess and enduring style, capturing the imagination of adventurers, aviation enthusiasts, and watch connoisseurs alike.

This opulent iteration of the Rolex GMT-Master II, reference 116710BLRO comes set in an 18ct white gold 40mm 'maxi' case and is fitted with the iconic Cerachrom blue/red 'Pepsi' GMT bezel. The black dial is equipped with applied Superluminova hour markers and hands, both edged in white gold to prevent tarnishing. The red GMT hand complements the corresponding red  'GMT-Master II' text, with the dial finished by the classic date aperture at 3 o'clock. These details are protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass  and are powered by the automatic calibre 3186 chronometer movement. It's 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by its screw-down crown and caseback, with the watch completed by a matching 18ct white gold Oyster bracelet and Oyster safety catch clasp. 

Originally sold in October 2014 and in mint condition with its Rolex service stickers intact. Supplied with as a full set with its original inner and outer Rolex boxes, instruction manual, guarantee booklet, swing tag, seal, 2024 Rolex service card and international warranty card.

This Rolex 'Pepsi' benefits from the coverage of its service warranty until 2026 following full service with Rolex in mid/late 2024.
