Since its inception in 1954 the Rolex GMT-Master has been the master of the skies and has adorned the wrists of pilots, astronauts and aviation enthusiasts ever since. Originally designed in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, the Rolex GMT-Master was initially created for Pan AM and issued by them to their pilots and crews on long-haul flights. The key feature of the watch was that it allowed the wearer to simultaneously reference two different time zones with its unique 24 hour bi-rotational bezel.

This version of the GMT-Master II, reference 116713LN was first introduced in 2007 and was the first version of the GMT-Master to have a ceramic bezel insert (alongside the steel variation). This watch features an 18ct yellow gold bi-rotational bezel with black cerachrom insert with contrasting gilt 24 hour graduation scale. The glossy black dial is fitted with applied Chromalight luminous hour markers and hands, edged in yellow gold to prevent tarnishing, with the green GMT hand pairing nicely with the green 'GMT-Master II' dial text. The date aperture can be found at 3 o’clock, with the dial protected by a sapphire crystal glass complete with cyclops lens for the date. The watch is water resistant to 10atm (100m/330ft) thanks to its screw-down crown and caseback. Powered by the automatic calibre 3186 chronometer movement, and coming supplied on a matching Rolesor (stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold) Oyster link bracelet with a folding safety clasp.

Originally purchased in 2014 and in mint condition for its age, sold with its original inner box, seal, instruction booklet, guarantee booklet, leather warranty holder and international warranty card.
