Originally introduced as the successor to the GMT-Master II reference 16760, the Rolex GMT-Master II reference 16710 continued the evolution of Rolex’s iconic dual-time-zone watch. Produced from the late 1980s through to the mid-2000s, the 16710 became renowned for its versatility and robust design, with its independently adjustable 24-hour hand allowing a third time zone to be read from the bezel. This example is particularly desirable for its classic stick dial, a distinctive configuration associated with later examples of the 16710, characterised by slender, straight hour markers that give the dial a clean and understated appearance. Over its production, the reference was offered with several bezel and dial configurations, helping establish the 16710 as one of the most recognisable and collectible GMT-Master II models of its generation.

This version of the GMT-Master II, reference 16710 was produced from 1989 until 2007 and was the last iteration to feature a non-ceramic bezel. It comes set in the classic 40mm stainless steel Oyster case fitted with a bidirectional bezel complete with the iconic 'Pepsi' red/blue gmt bezel. The glossy black dial features Superluminova hour markers and matching hands, each delicately rimmed in white gold to prevent tarnishing, while a contrasting red hand indicates the second time zone. Positioned at 3 o'clock, the classic date feature adds practicality to the design. Safeguarded by a flat sapphire crystal glass with a Cyclops lens for the date and equipped with a screw-down crown, this GMT-Master II ensures water resistance up to 10atm (100m/330ft). Driven by the automatic calibre 3185 chronometer movement and supplied on the classic stainless steel Oyster bracelet with folding safety catch clasp.

Originally purchased in March 2006 and in mint condition for its age, small imperfection with the bezel at the 10. This GMT-Master II comes with its original inner and outer boxes, seal, Oyster booklet, factory service booklet, GMT-Master booklet and original international warranty certificate. 

This watch has undergone our in-house maintenance service and comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
