Since its inception in 1954 the Rolex GMT-Master has been the master of the skies and has adorned the wrists of pilots, astronauts and aviation enthusiasts ever since. Originally designed in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, the Rolex GMT-Master was initially created for Pan AM and issued by them to their pilots and crews on long-haul flights. The key feature of the watch was that it allowed the wearer to simultaneously reference two different time zones with its unique 24 hour bi-rotational bezel.

This reference, the 16713 was produced from 1989 until 2007 and was one of the last versions of the GMT-Master II to have a non-ceramic bezel. This watch features the luxurious 18ct yellow gold bezel with black/gold colouring on the insert, which is bi-rotational and in mint condition. The dial is glossy black and fitted with Superluminova hour markers and hands (indicated by the Swiss Made print at the bottom of the dial), edged in matching yellow gold to prevent tarnishing. The second time-zone hand is also gold with the dial finished off with the classic date feature at 3 o’clock and protected by a flat sapphire crystal. The watch is powered by the Rolex 3185 automatic movement, and comes fitted on a matching Rolesor (steel/gold) Oyster link bracelet with a folding safety clasp.

Originally purchased in September 2005 and in mint condition for its age, this GMT-Master II comes with its original inner box, leather wallet, calendar card, translation booklet, Oyster booklet, GMT-Master instruction booklet, original purchase receipt and its original perforated warranty paperwork. This GMT-Master II is sold with our 12-month warranty and would be an incredible piece for any Rolex enthusiast.
