Rolex GMT-Master II 'Stick Dial', 16710

We proudly present this stunning Rolex GMT-Master II for sale in mint condition for its age, full checked and authenticated in our on-site workshop. 

Originally developed in collaboration with Pan American World Airways (Pan Am), the GMT-Master was designed to meet the specific needs of international pilots and frequent travelers. Launched in 1954, the GMT-Master quickly became an icon with its distinctive two-tone bezel, allowing wearers to track multiple time zones simultaneously. The inaugural model, reference 6542, set the stage for a series of evolutions, introducing improvements like the iconic Cyclops lens for enhanced date visibility. Over the years, the GMT-Master has evolved into a symbol of both technical prowess and enduring style, capturing the imagination of adventurers, aviation enthusiasts, and watch connoisseurs alike.

This version of the GMT-Master II, reference 16710 was produced from 1989 until 2007 and was the last iteration to feature a non-ceramic bezel. It comes set in the classic 40mm stainless steel Oyster case fitted with a bidirectional bezel complete with the iconic 'Pepsi' red/blue gmt bezel. The glossy black 'stick' dial features Superluminova hour markers and matching hands, each delicately rimmed in white gold to prevent tarnishing, while a contrasting red hand indicates the second time zone. Positioned at 3 o'clock, the classic date feature adds practicality to the design. Safeguarded by a flat sapphire crystal glass with a Cyclops lens for the date and equipped with a screw-down crown, this GMT-Master II ensures water resistance up to 10atm (100m/330ft). Driven by the automatic calibre 3185 chronometer movement and supplied on the classic stainless steel Oyster bracelet with folding safety catch clasp.

Originally purchased in November 2006 and in mint condition with very minor wear present on the 'Pepsi' insert, this GMT-Master II comes with its original inner and outer boxes (outer box stained), seal, swing tag, calendar card, translation booklet, GMT-Master booklet, additional genuine Rolex black gmt bezel insert, leather warranty holder, Rolex service card (April 2025) and original international warranty certificate.

This GMT-Master II has just been serviced by Rolex and is covered by their 24-month service warranty until April 2027.
