First introduced in 1945, the Datejust revolutionized the watchmaking industry by being the first self-winding chronometer to display the date in a window on the dial; an innovation that has since become a standard feature in countless watches. This version of the ladies Datejust, reference 179178 was produced in the 2000/10’s and comes set in the classic 26mm 18ct yellow gold oyster case with matching fluted bezel and screw-down crown. The champagne sunburst dial features applied Roman numeral hour indexes and matching hands, as well as a date feature at 3 o'clock. These details are protected by a sapphire crystal glass and powered by the automatic calibre 2235 chronometer mechanism. Lastly, the watch is fitted on the iconic 18ct yellow gold presidential bracelet with concealed crown folding clasp.

Originally sold in June 2003 and in mint condition for its age, supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, seal, Datejust booklet, translation booklet, calendar card, leather card holder, Rolex service cards (2010/2023) and original international warranty certificate. 

This ladies Datejust benefits from the coverage of its Rolex service warranty until July 2025, however it is sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
