Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This luxurious iteration of the iconic Datejust, reference 69178 comes set in an opulent 18ct yellow gold 26mm Oyster case with fluted bezel, matching presidential bracelet and concealed crown clasp. The champagne sunburst dial features diamond indexes edge in yellow gold, matching hands and the classic date feature at 3 o'clock. The watch is powered by the automatic calibre 2135 chronometer movement which is protected by a solid screwdown caseback. lastly, the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal glass and a screwdown crown, allowing for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft).

Originally produced in 1985 and in mint condition for its age, coming supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, Datejust booklet, Oyster booklet, leather document holder and our SWC authenticity card.
