Originally launched in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date has remained as the brand’s signature luxury watch. Exclusively crafted in precious metals, few luxury watches come close to the prestige, excellence, and timelessness of the Rolex President. When Rolex introduced the Day-Date, it was the first watch to include the day of the week written in full at 12 o’clock along with the date window at 3 o’clock.

This version, the reference 18948 is known as a Day-Date ‘Masterpiece’ due to its extremely luxurious details. It comes set in a polished 18ct yellow gold 39mm Oyster case and features a fully diamond-set bezel. The dial is a bright champagne sunburst finish and features round/baguette diamond hour markers. It also has the day/date apertures at 12/3 o’clock. It is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal glass and has a twinlock screw-down crown. The watch is powered by a Rolex automatic movement and it comes fitted on the unusual, matching 18ct yellow gold ‘Pearlmaster’ bracelet with a folding clasp.

Originally purchased in June 2008 and in superb condition for its age, this Day-Date comes with its original Rolex inner & original outer boxes, instruction booklet, original sales receipt, previous Rolex service paperwork dated 2014, Rolex green service pouch and international warranty card. This is a complete set and is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
