In 1931 Rolex patented a self-winding watch movement, this was one of the first movements to be wound through the means of a rotor ‘weight’. This weight moved as the wearer moved their arm and wrist, constantly winding the mechanism. Hence the moniker ‘Perpetual’ as it would be perpetually wound. However, it wasn’t until the 1950’s that we saw the text ‘Oyster Perpetual’ appear on the dials of automatic Rolex watches.

This version of the Oyster Perpetual, reference 116000 comes set in a solid 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with a smooth polished bezel. The clean black dial features applied pink baton hour indexes as well as pink quarter Arab numerals and luminous hands. The dial is protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass and the watch is powered by the automatic calibre 3130 movement. It comes fitted on a matching stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with folding Oysterlock clasp. 

Originally produced circa 2015 and in unworn stickered condition, this Rolex comes with our branded watch roll, authenticity card and 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
