Emerging from the visionary ingenuity of Rolex's founder, Hans Wilsdorf, the Oyster Perpetual series stands as a pinnacle of horological innovation. In 1931, Rolex achieved a groundbreaking milestone by patenting a self-winding watch movement; the world’s first mechanism to be energized through a rotor 'weight.' This ingenious design allowed the timepiece to harness the motion of the wearer's arm and wrist, ensuring a perpetual winding of the intricate mechanism. The moniker 'Perpetual' aptly reflected this self-sustaining feature. Notably, it wasn't until the 1950s that the appellation 'Oyster Perpetual' graced the dials of automatic Rolex watches, marking a significant era in the evolution of this iconic timekeeping legacy.

This iteration of the Oyster Perpetual Date, reference 115200, was produced from the mid-2000’s until 2021 and is now discontinued. It comes set in a polished stainless steel 34mm Oyster case with solid lugs, smooth polished bezel and a Twinlock screw-down crown, ensuring its 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance. It features a crisp white dial featuring applied luminous baton hour markers and matching stick hands, with the dial finished off with the classic date feature at 3 o'clock. The details are protected by a sapphire crystal glass and powered by the workhorse automatic calibre 3135 chronometer movement. Lastly, the watch is completed by the timeless stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with folding Oysterclasp with Easylink extension.

Originally sold in September 2021 and in mint condition, supplied as a full set with its original inner and outer box, guarantee booklet, instruction manual, seal, swing tag, leather card holder, original purchase receipt and its original international warranty card.
