The Oyster Perpetual Date was first launched in the late 1950s and was one of the first watches to display the date in a window at 3 o’clock on the dial, fulfilling Rolex founder, Hans Wilsdorf’s dreams of producing timepieces that were not only beautiful to look at but were also highly useful and functional. Housed in the legendary Rolex Oyster case, the Date is 34mm in diameter and is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). They were available in a variety of case materials and the model was produced all the way up to 1989.

This iteration of the Oyster Perpetual date, reference 15200 was produced from 1988 until the mid-2000’s and is presented in a polished stainless steel 34mm Oyster case with solid lugs and a Twinlock screw-down crown. The bezel has a smooth polished finish with the striking blue sunburst coloured dial featuring applied slim baton hour markers and matching ‘stick’ style hands, as well as the classic date feature at 3 o’clock with a magnifying cyclops lens for increased legibility. These details are protected by a sapphire crystal glass and powered by the automatic calibre 3135 chronometer movement. Lastly, the watch comes fitted on its original matching stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with a embossed crown clasp.

Originally sold in December 2006 and in mint condition, this Rolex comes with its original inner & outer boxes, Oyster Perpetual booklet, Oyster booklet, calendar card, guarantee booklet, leather warranty holder, original purchase receipt and perforated international warranty paperwork.
