The Oyster Perpetual line represents the very foundation of Rolex’s identity. Combining the waterproof Oyster case with the brand’s pioneering self-winding “Perpetual” rotor system, it set the blueprint for the modern wristwatch. Clean, precise and understated, the Oyster Perpetual Date remains one of the purest expressions of Rolex design.

This ladies reference 69160 is housed in a classic 26mm stainless steel Oyster case with a smooth polished bezel and Twinlock screw-down crown, ensuring water resistance to 100 metres (10atm). The crisp white dial features elegant black Roman numeral hour markers, applied gold baton markers and matching gold hands, creating a refined contrast. The signature date aperture sits at 3 o’clock beneath a sapphire crystal with Cyclops magnification.

Powering the watch is the reliable Rolex calibre 2135 automatic chronometer movement, celebrated for its durability and precision. In February 2024, the watch was fitted with a stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, enhancing both comfort and classic Rolex character with its five-link design and folding clasp.

Originally purchased in December 1989 and preserved in mint condition for its age, this example is supplied with a non-Rolex presentation box, punched warranty paper, booklet and black leather card holder.
