The Oysterdate made its debut in 1953 and was produced until 1989 over 35 years later, making it one of the longest running production Rolex's ever produced. Over the years, Rolex has continually refined and updated the Oysterdate, incorporating advancements in watchmaking technology while maintaining its classic and timeless design. The Oysterdate has become a symbol of precision and luxury, worn by icons, adventurers, and watch enthusiasts worldwide. This version of the Oysterdate, reference 6694, was first produced in 1958 and comes set in the classic 34mm stainless steel Oyster case with smooth polished bezel. The original silver sunburst dial features applied silver hour indexes and matching stick hands, as well as the classic date feature at 3 o'clock. These details are protected by an acrylic plexi glass, complete with cyclops lens for the date. Powering the watch is manually wound calibre 1225 mechanism and comes fitted on a brown leather strap with polished Rolex pin buckle.
Originally produced in 1966 and in mint condition for its age following a full service, supplied with our branded watch roll, an SWC authenticity card and a 24-month service warranty.
