Rolex Sea Dweller DEEPSEA , 136660

We are proud to present the newly released 2023 Rolex Sea-Dweller DeepSea for sale in mint as new condition, fully checked and authenticated in our on-site workshop.

The Sea-Dweller was originally developed in 1967 to compliment the already popular Rolex tool-watches, the Sea-Dweller was developed originally for saturation divers working for SeaLab who were spending a lot longer underwater than your casual diver. Because of those extreme conditions and depths, the divers noticed that the crystal would pop out of the case during decompression due to the helium particles in the case. So, Rolex developed the Helium release valve under their patent and thus the Sea-Dweller was born.

In 2008 Rolex launched the original version of the Deepsea, the ultimate evolution of the Sea-Dweller, flaunting a large 44mm Oyster case measuring a sizable 17.7 mm thick. The size and thickness of the stainless steel case are required to achieve the Deepsea’s impressive water resistance of 390atm (3,900m/12,800ft). To attain this, the case is built according to Rolex’s patented Ringlock System, which includes a nitrogen-alloyed steel ring at the centre of the case, a helium escape valve to rid the watch of built-up gases, a 5.5 mm thick domed sapphire crystal, and a steel and titanium caseback.

This version the 136660 was launched in late 2022 following on from its predecessor the 126660. Coming set in a 44mm stainless steel Oyster case fitted with a uni-rotational black Cerachrom bezel which is slightly thinner than on the previous model. The dial is a clean black glossy finish with ‘Maxi’ style hour markers with Chromalight luminous filling and a date feature at 3 o’clock which has been slightly increased in size since the previous reference. Fitted with a domed sapphire crystal glass (5.5mm thick) and a Triplock screw-down crown for additional water resistance. It is powered by the updated Rolex calibre 3235 automatic movement which boasts 70 hours of power reserve and protected by the all new RLX titanium caseback. The watch is completed with an Oystersteel bracelet fitted with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Glidelock extension system.

Originally purchased in 2023 and in mint as new condition, this DEEPSEA comes with its original inner & outer boxes, seal, swing tag, leather card holder, instruction booklet, guarantee manual and international warranty card. 

This watch is under Rolex manufacturers warranty until 2028.
