We are proud to present this Rolex Submariner Date, reference 16610, offered in unworn condition and fully checked in our workshop.
Introduced in 1953, the Rolex Submariner set the standard for modern dive watches, becoming the first wristwatch guaranteed water-resistant to 300 metres (1,000 feet). Over the decades, the Submariner has evolved incrementally while preserving its unmistakable identity, combining professional-grade capability with timeless design. Few watches achieve such universal recognition, and the Submariner remains a cornerstone of Rolex’s sports collection and a benchmark for durability, legibility, and everyday wearability.
This example, reference 16610, features the classic 40mm stainless steel Oyster case, paired with a unidirectional dive bezel and black aluminium insert. The glossy black dial is fitted with Super-LumiNova hour markers and hands, each edged in white gold to prevent tarnishing and ensure lasting clarity. The date aperture at 3 o’clock is magnified beneath Rolex’s signature Cyclops lens, protected by a flat sapphire crystal.
At its heart is the legendary Rolex calibre 3135, an automatic chronometer movement renowned for its robustness, accuracy, and long-term reliability. Water resistance to 300m/1,000ft is ensured by the Triplock screw-down crown and sealed Oyster case. The watch is completed on the iconic stainless steel Oyster bracelet, fitted with a folding safety clasp.
Presented in unworn condition, this example retains its original factory stickers on the case and bracelet, a rare and increasingly desirable detail for collectors. It is supplied with its original inner and outer Rolex boxes, green leather card holder, international warranty card, booklets, and swing tag.
