The Rolex Submariner can easily be described as one of Rolex's most famous designs and is considered one of the most popular diving watches ever created. The first watch to be water-resistant to 300m (1000ft) which has helped the timepiece to become one of the most successful diver’s watches in history. A perfect blend of functionality and style, the submariner makes for a truly great watch. It wasn’t until 1984, over three decades after the launch of the Submariner that we saw the first two-tone steel and gold version of the Submariner and it has been part of the Submariner Date collection ever since.

This version the reference 16613 was produced from 1989 until 2009 and is set in a solid 40mm Oystersteel case with an immaculate yellow gold uni-rotational bezel, featuring a black insert with  gold numerals and divers scale minute markers to 15. It has a matching black dial fitted with Superluminova luminous hour markers and hands (indicated by the Swiss Made text), edged in yellow gold for maximum visibility and date feature at 3 o’clock with a cyclops lens. Water resistant up to 300M thanks to the Triplock screw-down crown and fitted on the iconic steel and gold combination (Rolesor) Oyster link bracelet with a folding safety lock clasp. It is powered by the Rolex chronometer calibre 3135 automatic self-winding mechanism.

Originally purchased in March 2002 and in mint condition for its age, this Submariner comes with its original Rolex inner & outer boxes, swing tag, seal, calendar card, leather warranty holder, previous service paperwork and Rolex service card dated 2016. This Submariner is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
