The Rolex Submariner can easily be described as one of Rolex's most famous designs and is considered one of the most popular diving watches ever created. When first launched back in the early 1950s, this was the first-ever watch to be water-resistant to 300m and set the standard for what a diving watch should be both in functionality and style.

It wasn’t until 1967 that the Submariner got its now iconic date feature with the model 1680 and then in 1983 it was fitted with a sapphire crystal glass.

This is the 3^rd generation Submariner Date, which launched in 1987 and was produced until 2010. The reference 16610 comes set in a brushed and polished 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with drilled lugs and fitted on the matching Oyster link steel bracelet. This watch has a glossy black dial with date aperture and applied Superluminova hour markers (indicated by the swiss made text at the bottom of the dial) edged with white gold to prevent patina. Printed with 4 lines of text as per the original style on the 1680, the uni-directional bezel is fitted with a Rolex black bezel insert with luminous pip to complete the look.

Originally purchased in April 2005 and in mint condition, this Submariner comes supplied with an original Rolex inner and outer box, bezel protector, seal, swing tag, instruction booklet and international guarantee certificate. This Submariner is sold with our SWC 12-month warranty
