Rolex Submariner Date 2002, 16610

We are proud to present our 2002 Rolex Submariner Date for sale in mint condition, fully checked and authenticated in our accredited workshop. 

The Rolex Submariner can easily be described as one of Rolex's most famous designs and is considered one of the most popular diving watches ever created. When first launched back in the early 1950s, this was the first-ever watch to be water-resistant to 30atm (300m/1000ft) and set the standard for what a diving watch should be both in functionality and style. It wasn’t until 1967 that the Submariner got its now iconic date feature with the model 1680 and then in 1983 it was fitted with a sapphire crystal glass.

This is the 3^rd generation of Submariner Date, which launched in 1987 and was produced until 2010. The reference 16610 comes set in a brushed and polished 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with solid lugs and fitted on the matching stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with safety catch clasp. It's glossy black dial features applied luminous hour indexes and hands edged with white gold to prevent tarnishing as well as the classic date aperture at 3 o'clock. Printed with 4 lines of text as per the original style on the 1680, and fitted with a uni-directional bezel fitted with a Rolex black bezel insert with luminous pip to complete the look.

Originally purchased in the UK in July 2002 and in a very good condition for its age, this Submariner comes supplied with an original Rolex inner and outer box, Rolex Anchor, Oyster booklet, instruction booklet, translation booklet, calendar card, leather document holder and perforated international warranty papers.

This Submariner is sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
