The Rolex Submariner, first introduced in 1953, is a legendary timepiece with a rich history deeply intertwined with the world of diving. Originally designed as a professional diver's watch, and soon becoming the first watch to achieve a water resistance of 30atm (300m/1000ft), the Submariner quickly gained iconic status for its exceptional durability, precision, and distinctive aesthetic. Over the years, it has evolved while maintaining its core attributes, becoming a symbol of both underwater exploration and timeless elegance. With its robust construction and technological innovations, the Rolex Submariner continues to be a sought-after classic, embodying a legacy of horological excellence and adventure.

This iteration of the Submariner, reference 16610, is housed in a 40mm Oyster case crafted from stainless steel and complemented by a uni-rotational dive bezel fitted with a black insert with 15-minute dive scale. The glossy black dial is adorned with Superluminova hour indexes and hands, edged in white gold for optimal visibility. The dial is safeguarded by a flat sapphire crystal, which includes a cyclops lens magnifying the date aperture at 3 o'clock, while the watch retains a water resistance of 30atm (300m/1000ft) thanks to its Triplock screw-down crown. Lastly, the timepiece is elegantly secured with the iconic stainless steel Oyster link bracelet featuring a folding safety lock clasp, with the watch itself reliably driven by the automatic calibre 3135 chronometer movement and protected by a closed screwdown caseback. 

Originally purchased in 2006 and in unworn condition, this Submariner comes supplied with an original Rolex inner and outer box, swing tag, seal, both booklets, calendar card, certificate holder and international guarantee certificate. Green case back sticker still applied.
