Rolex Submariner Vintage from 1981, 5513

We are proud to present this iconic Rolex Submariner watch for sale in fine condition, fully checked and authenticated in our on-site workshop.

Launched in 1962 and produced until 1989 the 5513 is the longest production version of the Submariner ever produced, which is a testament to its versatility and wearability. While the date feature with a cyclops lens has always polarized fans of the model, the non-date offers a pure, symmetrical divers watch experience that is clear and legible whatever conditions the watch is faced with.

This Submariner comes set in the classic 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with pin-hole lugs. It has the classic bi-rotational (pre-bezel ratchet) bezel, fitted with its original slightly faded black insert. The dial is a clean black matte colour with ‘Serif’ text and the ‘feet first’ dial printing. The dial is protected by a domed acrylic plexi-glass and the watch is fitted with a screw-down crown. It is powered by the Rolex calibre 1520 automatic movement and it comes fitted on an updated Oyster bracelet which was changed by Rolex in 2014. 

Originally purchased March 1981 and in fine condition, this Submariner comes with its original inner box, anchor, swing tag, some service paperwork (2000 / 2006 / 2014) and its original international warranty certificate, dated and typed out by the seller.  

This watch was purchased from the original owner and is in a lovely worn condition, with some service paperwork.
