Rolex Vintage Air King, 5500

We are proud to present this classic vintage Rolex Air-King for sale in mint for age condition, dating from 1967.

The Rolex Air-King has its origins in Rolex’s long association with aviation and the pioneering spirit of the early years of flight. Introduced in the 1940s as part of the Air series, the Air-King went on to become one of Rolex’s enduring Oyster models, recognised for its clean, understated design and straightforward approach to timekeeping. Reference 5500 was introduced in 1957 and remained in production for more than three decades, making it one of the longest-running references in the Air-King family.

This example, reference 5500 from 1967, features the classic 34mm stainless steel Oyster case with a smooth bezel and black dial. The simple dial layout is complemented by baton-style hour markers and central hours, minutes and seconds hands, while the characteristic Oyster case gives the watch its unmistakable vintage Rolex character. The watch is fitted with a Rolex service bracelet dating from circa 2011. The watch is powered by a Rolex automatic mechanical movement.

Dating from 1967 and presented in mint for age condition, this vintage Rolex Air-King is supplied with a Rolex pouch and our warranty card.

This watch has undergone our in-house maintenance service and comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
