Rolex Vintage Datejust 36 Linen Dial, 16014

We are proud to present this classic vintage Rolex Datejust 36 for sale in mint condition for its age, fully checked and authenticated in our on site workshop.

The Rolex Datejust stands as an enduring icon in the realm of luxury timepieces, renowned for its timeless design, precision engineering, and a legacy that spans over seven decades. First introduced in 1945, the Datejust revolutionized the watchmaking industry by being the first self-winding chronometer to display the date in a window on the dial; an innovation that has since become a standard feature in countless watches. Today, the Rolex Datejust continues to epitomize elegance and functionality, embodying the perfect union of form and function.

This model reference 16014 was originally launched in 1977 and comes set in a polished 36mm stainless steel Oyster case fitted with an 18ct yellow gold fluted bezel. The silver 'linen' dial features applied baton hour markers, matching hands, printed black minute track and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. The watch is protected by an acrylic plexi crystal and fitted with a screw-down crown which allows for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). It is powered by the automatic calibre 3035 chronometer movement, which has a higher beat rate than previous models and has the ‘quickset’ date feature. Lastly, the watch is presented on the iconic stainless steel Jubilee bracelet with embossed crown folding clasp.

Originally sold in June 1986 and in mint condition for its age with its original green caseback sticker intact, this Datejust comes with a Rolex service pouch, green plastic Rolex warranty holder, translation booklet and its original perforated warranty certificate.
