Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This model reference 16018 comes set in a polished 36mm 18ct yellow gold Oyster case with matching fluted bezel. The dial is crisp silver sunburst and features applied 18ct yellow gold baton hour markers, printed black bannering and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by a flat sapphire crystal with a cyclops lens for the date. The watch is fitted with a screw-down crown allowing for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). The watch is powered by the Rolex calibre 3035 automatic movement, which has a higher beat rate than previous models and has the ‘quickset’ date feature. Presented on the iconic Jubilee bracelet in 18ct yellow gold with classic folding clasp.

Originally purchased in circa 1978 and in mint condition for its age, this Datejust comes with our box and watch roll, authenticity card and a 12-month warranty.
