Originally launched in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date President has remained as the brand’s signature luxury watch. Exclusively crafted in precious metals, few luxury watches come close to the prestige, excellence, and timelessness of the Rolex President. When Rolex introduced the Day-Date, it was the first watch include the day of the week written in full at 12 o’clock along with the date window at 3 o’clock. Another hallmark of the Rolex Day-Date is its bracelet, officially named the ‘President’ bracelet. Characterized by its semi-circular links, the President bracelet is almost as famous as the timepiece itself, not to mention the icons who wore one.

Released in 1959 this reference 1803 is an iconic vintage dress watch. It comes set in a polished 36mm solid 18ct yellow gold Oyster case with an elegant yellow gold fluted bezel. The dial is a champagne colour with  sunburst finish, applied baton yellow gold hour markers and a stepped-edge. The dial is finished off with a day aperture at 12 o’clock and a date at 3 o’clock and the cyclops and sapphire crystal glass. Powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 1556 chronometer movement, and coming fitted on an 18ct yellow gold Rolex president bracelet with concealed folding clasp. 

Originally purchased in circa 1977 and in mint condition with service stickers intact from its 2022 service, coming supplied with its 2022 service documentation, service card and service booklet.

The 18ct President bracelet is in a superb condition, this is such a great example.

This Rolex is covered by its Rolex service warranty until early 2024.
