Rolex Vintage Oyster Precision, 6426

We are proud to present this 1982 Rolex Vintage Oyster Precision for sale in mint condition for its age.

The Rolex Oyster, introduced in 1926, revolutionized watchmaking as the world's first waterproof wristwatch. It was created by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf, who aimed to design a timepiece capable of withstanding dust, moisture, and pressure, all common challenges for wristwatches of the time. The Oyster case featured a hermetically sealed construction with a screw-down bezel, case back, and winding crown, ensuring durability and water resistance. Its performance was famously demonstrated in 1927 when Mercedes Gleitze swam across the English Channel wearing the watch, solidifying Rolex's reputation for precision and reliability.

This version of the Oyster, reference 6426, was first introduced in the 1950's and was produced well into the 1980's, a 34mm stainless steel Oyster case with smooth polished bezel. Fitted with a classic clean silver baton dial, with each polished baton having a thin strip of black onyx detailing, plexi glass. The original steel Oyster bracelet with folding clasp. A manual wind movement, which is a calibre 1225.

Originally sold in December 1982, this watch is in mint condition considering its age, supplied with its original Rolex box and its original international warranty certificate. This watch was last serviced in August 2026 by our own workshop.
