First launched in 1996, the Carrera Re-Edition marked Tag Heuer’s return to one of its most celebrated historic designs, taking direct inspiration from the very first Carrera models of the 1960s. The CS3111 was the black-dial stainless steel version of that original re-edition trio and remained remarkably faithful to the spirit and proportions of the 1963 Carrera, helping spark renewed interest in both vintage Heuer chronographs and the Carrera name itself.

This example is presented in the classic 36mm stainless steel case, retaining the restrained proportions that made the original Carrera such a pure and elegant chronograph design. The black dial features applied baton hour markers, silvered hands, a tri-compax chronograph layout, and the distinctive decimal minutes scale printed around the dial, all protected by a plexi crystal. Power comes from the respected manual-wind Lemania 1873 movement, a calibre chosen in part because its compact size allowed Tag Heuer to stay true to the dimensions of the original watch. It is fitted on a black perforated leather strap, a natural match for the model’s vintage motorsport character.

Originally purchased in April 1999, this watch is offered in mint condition and comes supplied with both inner and outer boxes, warranty card, booklets, and a service receipt dated February 2026.
