When it comes to TAG Heuer ambassadors, no one can hold a candle to Formula 1’s triple World Champion Ayrton Senna. Senna was a 1990s TAG Heuer man, wearing the S/el and 6000 series during his days with the McLaren team and he has been linked to the brand from 19994-2004 and then again from 2015 until now, with numerous special editions linked to his racing ability and legendary F1 status.

This version the reference CBG2013 was produced in 2018 and is set in a 43mm robust stainless steel round case with a fixed black ceramic tachymetre bezel with the red Senna logo/text. The dial is skeletonised grey with white split-second markers around the very edges and features luminous 5-minute interval hour markers from 05-60. The contrasting white date indicator is at 5 o’clock and there are contrasting red chronograph hands on the sub-dials. Protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and powered by the Heuer 02 in-house automatic chronograph mechanism, which is visible through an exhibition caseback; that features the red Senna logo. It comes fitted on the “double S-link” stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.

Originally purchased in December 2018 and in mint condition, this Carrera comes with its original Senna Edition box, instruction booklet, Senna Edition booklet and international warranty card. It also has a Tag service warranty card for a repair to the sapphire crystal that was carried out in July this year (2020).
