Since its launch in 1986, alongside the new TAG Heuer brand the Formula 1 has been ever-present in the Tag Heuer collection. Available originally in bold and bright colours, the Formula 1 has now matured and is seen as a robust, good value timepiece that is versatile and suitable for all occasions. This Special Edition Gulf Formula 1 chronograph pays powerful tribute to two legendary motor racing sponsors, and sports infamous 'Gulf' orange and blue stripes, as did Steve McQueen’s car in the 1971 film classic, Le Mans. 

Set in a rugged 43mm brushed steel, barrel-shaped case with a fixed stainless steel bezel with blue Tachymeter scale insert. The dial features the orange and blue 'Gulf' stripes with applied rhodium plated/luminous hour markers and matching hands, date aperture at 4 o’clock as well as three sub-dials at 3/6/9 o'clock. It is protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass, and fitted with a screw down crown which allows for a water resistance of up to 20atm (200M/660ft). It is powered Swiss quartz chronograph movement for precision timekeeping and comes fitted on a commemorative 'gulf' leather strap with pin buckle clasp.

Originally purchased in December 2019 and in mint condition, this Formula 1 comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, original receipt and international warranty card. This watch is sold with our 12-month SWC warranty.
