Few watches are as instantly recognisable as the Tag Heuer Monaco. First introduced in 1969, the Monaco became famous for its bold square case and its place among the earliest automatic chronographs, instantly setting itself apart from the more conventional round chronographs of the era. Its legend was cemented even further through its connection with motorsport and the film Le Mans, where the Monaco became forever linked with the blue and orange colours of Gulf, one of the most celebrated racing liveries in automotive history. Decades later, that association remains one of the strongest and most charismatic in watchmaking.

This special edition, reference CBL2115.FC6494, pays tribute to that famous partnership with a design that is unmistakably Monaco and unmistakably Gulf. The watch is housed in a 39mm fine-brushed and polished stainless steel case, retaining the collection’s iconic square profile and fitted with a domed, bevelled sapphire crystal. The blue sunray-brushed dial is accented by the signature Gulf racing stripes, while the vintage TAG Heuer logo at 12 o’clock and Gulf logo at 6 o’clock reinforce the model’s motorsport heritage. Applied indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova ensure strong legibility, while the date display and chronograph layout preserve the watch’s everyday practicality.

Powering the watch is the Tag Heuer manufacture calibre TH20-00, an in-house automatic chronograph movement. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement brings modern performance to one of the brand’s most historic designs. The watch is presented on a blue perforated leather strap, secured by a steel folding clasp with double safety push buttons, completing a look that is both sporty and unmistakably linked to the golden age of endurance racing.

Supplied in unworn condition, originally purchased in September 2022 this watch comes complete with both inner and outer boxes, warranty card, and booklets.
