The Monaco was originally introduced in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix. A ground-breaking watch when it was launched, as it was the first square cased automatic chronograph to be produced. Made famous thanks to the movie "Le Mans" in which Steve McQueen carries a Heuer Monaco 1133B Calibre 11 on his wrist.

Re-released in 1998 originally and then again subsequently in 2003 with the reference CW2113.

This version the CAW2114 followed on in 2009 and is known as the ‘Black McQueen’. It comes set in a polished/brushed 39mm stainless steel case in the iconic square-shape, with a raised sapphire crystal glass fitted to the watch. The dial is a rich black finish and features a striking red split-second hand, twin contrasting silver rounded-square sub-dials for the running second hand and timing up to 30 minutes. It also has a date feature at 6 o’clock and silver hands with red & luminous filling finish off the details of this lovely timepiece. This watch is powered by the Tag Heuer calibre 12 automatic movement, which is visible through an exhibition caseback. It comes fitted on a black Tag Heuer alligator leather strap with a steel Tag deployment buckle.

Originally purchased in March 2014 and in mint condition for its age, this Monaco comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet and international warranty card. This Monaco is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
