Introduced in 1969, the Monaco achieved instant fame as the first-ever automatic chronograph with a square case. However, its place in horological history was solidified when it graced the wrist of Steve McQueen in the classic film "Le Mans." The unconventional and avant-garde design, coupled with cutting-edge technology, set the Monaco apart as a symbol of innovation. Over the years, this timepiece has evolved with various iterations, each paying homage to its racing heritage and pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. The Tag Heuer Monaco remains a timeless embodiment of both motorsport prestige and avant-garde watch design.

This particular iteration of the Tag Heuer Monaco, reference CAW2111.FC6183 in a 39mm stainless steel case in the iconic square-shape, with a raised sapphire crystal glass. The stunning blue sunburst dial and features a striking red split-second hand, twin contrasting silver rounded-square sub-dials for the running second hand and timing up to 30 minutes. It also has a date feature at 6 o’clock and silver hands with luminous filling finish off the details of this lovely timepiece. It comes fitted on a black Tag Heuer alligator leather strap with a steel Tag deployment buckle.

Originally purchased in December 2015 and in mint condition, this Monaco comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet and international warranty card.
