Introduced in 1969, the Monaco achieved instant fame as the first-ever automatic chronograph with a square case. However, its place in horological history was solidified when it graced the wrist of Steve McQueen in the classic film "Le Mans." The unconventional and avant-garde design, coupled with cutting-edge technology, set the Monaco apart as a symbol of innovation. Over the years, this timepiece has evolved with various iterations, each paying homage to its racing heritage and pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. The Tag Heuer Monaco remains a timeless embodiment of both motorsport prestige and avant-garde watch design.

This iteration of the Monaco, reference WAW131A.FC6177 comes set in a polished 37mm stainless steel case in the iconic square-shape. The rich black features faceted rhodium plated hour markers and hands, as well as a date display window at 3 o’clock and a running seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. These details are protected by a sapphire crystal glass and powered by a Swiss Quartz movement. It's 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by a polished push / pull crown, with the watch completed by a black Tag Heuer alligator leather strap with deployment buckle.

Originally sold in February 2020 and in fine condition due to minor wear on the case and bezel, supplied in inner and outer boxes, warranty booklet, retail barcodes and original international warranty card.
