A professional company with friendly, knowledgeable staff. I bought a Sky Dweller from The Swiss Watch Company in December 2019 and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and the watch itself. Pricing is fair. Highly recommended.
I just spent a very pleasant two hours with John selling two watches and buying another. This is my second time dealing with SWC. The level of professionalism, honesty and fair prices for both buying and selling are unsurpassed in my experience. John brings a genuine enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to his business which makes the process an absolute joy. I would never go anywhere else to buy or sell a pre owned high quality timepiece. This company is a very rare find in todays world; first class knowledge of their subject, a friendly straightforward approach and absolute integrity. Long may they prosper.
'What a pleasure to do business with this company, either buying or selling. I don't usually fill out reviews but I do feel this company deserves a favourable one. Some years ago I purchased a Jaeger La Coutre from them and was treated very well. Yesterday, having made an appointment, I took my four Patek Phillipe watches that I had collected over the years to sell. Not only was I greeted promptly and courteously, but the whole matter was conducted professionally and pleasantly. A price sarisfactory to both of us was speedily agreed, the paperwork filled out fully and transparently, the bank transfer went through without a hitch. I wish all my sales of luxury pre-owned goods went off so satisfactorily. May I recommend this company and its members.'
I have to say it was a pleasure dealing with Tim. I traded in a 2013 Omega Chronograph bought pre owned for a 2019 Seamaster 300M. It all went smoothly but when my watch was pressure tested it wasn't water tight as a previous owner didn't realise that the knurling on the stop/start was cosmetic and tried to un do using pliers !!!! Tim let me know straight away and I suggested reducing the trade in price by the cost of an Omega service and we agreed on that which was £620. What was genuinely refreshing that Tim not only accepted this but stated he could get it done cheaper, reducing the cost for me which was more convenient for me. When I next buy a watch I will check here first. Great customer service.
Having dealt with watches.co.uk now for many years, both as a buyer and seller I have always found them to be honest and fair dealers, fair on their original guide offers to their actual buying in price. All of the watches I have had from them over the last eight years have all been great, some very much like new and I am really fussy about my watches. Thanks everyone at watches.co.uk, I hope to back to you very soon. PR
3 days ago- To summarise: whether you're the kind of person who prefers to wear a suit or jeans; whether you're buying for yourself or gifting to someone, or selling a watch you already have; whether you're not sure and you just want some open, honest, professional watch advice then definitely consider them first. I recommend them and would absolutely use them again, I've visited other watch places in the past but SWC have been by far the best. They are friendly, knowledgeable, genuine and good value. Read on for a more in depth review of my personal experience. I've used SWC in the past to buy a watch. Just the other day I used them again. This time I've decided to leave a useful review to help others who are considering them. One of the great things is that they have an online platform AND a bricks and mortar office so you can choose what is most comfortable for you. The watch descriptions and high-resolution pictures online are really accurate and match the in-person assessment, but if you're left with any burning questions after viewing online then they are easily contactable by email/phone. I emailed them a few times with questions about a few watches I was interested in and Dee and Tim happily replied swiftly everytime. After online viewing I decided to visit the offices as that's my preference, they were really accommodating and flexible with arranging a time around what was convenient to me. I'm not a rich, but I work hard for my money and I'm a simple plain guy, so it was so refreshing to meet the team and be treated in a professional yet down to earth manner by everyone. No hard sell, no snobbery; I was made to feel at ease. I had more questions ranging from if/what/why/how/when and once again they were happy to answer. John is clearly passionate about watches and he even gave me some tips on storage. The watch I bought was fairly priced compared to other places and they explained why the pricing of a same model watch may be more/less elsewhere. The overall service, peace of mind when dealing with someone in person and the all advice I received meant when I parted with my money it was a non-painful experience and I felt I got my money's worth. Whilst there, I took the opportunity to ask Tim about what if I were to sell my previous watch through them. He talked me through the process and gave me an idea of value and said they were happy to sell it for me, but was super honest in telling me that whilst they could sell it for me I was actually better off holding off from selling, as the watch I owned had become collectible and price was sure to rise more and that there was a better time of year to sell. Because of the overall experience, if I was ever not London based I'd still be really comfortable dealing with them just using their online method if I couldn't get to their office. I've tried to think of some negatives, but I really couldn't come up with any apart from the weather being rather cold on the day I visited them, but that's not their fault! Dealing with them more than once now with no issues, I get the genuine feeling that if things ever did not run to plan (as these things can sometimes happen) then they'd do everything possible to solve an issue positively. I hope this review is practical and useful to others.
I can't emphasize enough how fantastic the service was. Tim was very patient with my numerous emails and talked me through their trade in service. I had previously bought a watch from them which I was extremely happy with and was in search of an upgrade. Tim and Dee made the process extremely easy and the upgrade is in absolute mind condition just as advertised. Highly recommend. Karla
14.11.19 I recently purchased a Rolex Sea Dweller 4000 from the Swiss Watch Company (Dee, Tim and John). I found all three of them incredibly friendly and approachable. I dealt mainly with John who shared his expertise with enthusiasm and gave great advice on the subject. What clearly came across was John’s true passion for watches, which made the whole experience not only enjoyable but informative. His advice and help was invaluable in my decision to purchase the watch, but at no time did I feel pressured to do so. I can honestly say I would not hesitate in recommending them, or purchasing from them again in the future. Peter (Wimbledon).
Just like to say thanks to John, Tim and Dee for today. My pride and joy in my watch collection are my 2012 stainless Daytona and 2014 SD4K but I felt it was time to upgrade my daily wearer which was a Tag Heuer Link Chrono Automatic. Found a lovely 2017 Carrera Calibre 16 Fangio Edition on their site. At first all my communication was with Tim who was very patient with me and all my emails. He offered me £700 for my Link in part ex for the Carrera, which I deliberated over for a day or so but thought this was a good offer on a watch that I’ve had 10 years and worn almost every day. We agreed the deal via email and I drove from Bristol to Chiswick today. I have never bought from a used watch dealer so was a bit apprehensive. When I got there I was greeted by Dee who took me in to meet John. The service I got was brilliant, really nice people and it doesn’t matter if your spending £1000 or £50,000 they make you feel your custom is equally valued. When John bought the Carrera out I was blown away by the condition, you could have put it in goldsmiths window as brand new!!! Ok, I traded in my old watch but I feel like I’ve only paid £1600 for a watch that was £3250 two years ago, an absolute bargain. I will definitely deal with these guys again, fantastic service Thanks again guys Colin Colin Smith Bristol
I couldn't be happier with my purchase of a Rolex GMT Master II from watches..co.uk. I was extremely cautious from the outset being that it was my first swiss watch purchase. The refund policy gave me complete peace of mind. I returned two watches before finding the perfect model for me. Throughout the process Dee in particular was extremely helpful. A couple of months post purchase I had a small query regarding the functioning of the watch (due to my own lack of knowledge as opposed to any actual issue with the timepiece). I was put directly in contact with the on-site technician who was able to resolve my query immediately. What I appreciated most was that the technician also took the time to sit with me and give me some insight into the query that I had raised. This was done with no pomp or bluster such that I have experienced with other watch dealers who can be dismissive towards those who are new to the world of swiss watches. I would not hesitate to recommend watches.co.uk to anyone wishing to buy a swiss watch.
Very pleased with all aspects of the product and service. Watch exactly as described and indeed in mint condition. Pre and post sales service helpful and attentive. Would use again and definitely recommend
This review is for potential customers. I've bought numerous watches from them over the years, most recent one being this month. I've been totally happy each time. So if you're apprehensive about a significant or first purchase from them, there is no need to be. Each purchase was made quick, easy and hassle free for me. My emails had swift responses and any questions I asked were happily answered. Each time I've met/contacted Dee/Tim/John they've all been friendly and easy going yet efficient and professional. The watches I've purchased were as described and fairly priced for the market. All my purchases were done in person -as their location was convenient (nice office too), but as everything on collection matched the online description/photos then I'd be happy purchasing online if location became an issue for me. Even after purchase, aftercare has been great. I'd absolutely purchase from them again. Whilst I've not sold any watches through them, they would be the first I'd consider if I came to selling, based on my purchase experience. Writing this has made me realise that they have provided consistently the best customer service that I've encountered in any sector in the past 10 years. They give you the high grade service that is, in my opinion, deserved when making high value purchases; sadly I've encountered many companies failing to do this with other types of valuable purchases. There's never been any hiccups on their end, but I'm confident that if there ever was one then it'd be promptly and satisfactorily resolved. Overall, simply a nice bunch of people. I hope this review proves to be useful. AC
