We are proud to present this classic Tudor ladies vintage Princess Oysterdate watch for sale.

Tudor was founded by the same man who founded Rolex – Hans Wilsdorf. The idea of Tudor was to offer the same build quality as a Rolex watch but at a lower price. The company would achieve this by using Rolex watch parts but equipping them with off-the-shelf movements rather than in-house calibres.

Thus, in the 1940’s Wilsdorf created the Tudor Oyster watch. In this case Oyster meaning dustproof and waterproof. Since the success of the Oyster in 1926 with Rolex it made sense to be able to offer this enhanced case durability to its sister brand, making them more desirable and better quality. The Prince & Princess Oysterdate models evolved out of the earlier Oyster models and brought more refinement to the collection for his/her watches, incorporating more luxurious “dress” elements from Rolex's sister-brand.

This Tudor reference 7607/3 comes set in a classic ladies 23mm solid stainless steel Oyster case with a gold “Rolex” screw-down crown. The dial is a deep blue colour and features gold printed outer minute markers with matching gold baton hour markers and hand set. There is also a date feature at 3 o’clock and the dial is protected by an acrylic plexi-glass with cyclops lens for date magnification. It is powered by an automatic movement and comes fitted on a brushed original “Rolex” stainless steel Oyster bracelet with a folding clasp.

Originally purchased in circa 1973 this Tudor ladies vintage Princess Oysterdate is in fine condition for its age and is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
