The Tudor Pelagos has its roots in Tudor's storied history, particularly in its commitment to creating reliable and high-performance dive watches. The Pelagos lineage traces back to the mid-20th century when Tudor began producing timepieces for professional divers. The modern interpretation of the Pelagos emerged in 2012, showcasing a contemporary design while staying true to the brand's heritage. Notably, the Pelagos introduced innovative features, such as a helium escape valve and a case made from lightweight yet durable titanium. These advancements solidified the Pelagos as a cutting-edge tool watch, earning it praise within the horological community. Over the years, the Tudor Pelagos has evolved to incorporate new materials and technologies, maintaining its status as a flagship model in Tudor's diverse and distinguished collection.

This iteration of the Tudor Pelagos FXD, reference M2542G257NU-0002 comes set in a 42mm titanium case with fixed strap bars, as well as fully luminous 24-hour graduations present on the matte black bidirectional GMT bezel. The matching matte black dial features luminous hour indexes and matching hands, as well as a contrasting red GMT hand and the classic date feature at 3 o'clock. These details are safeguarded by a flat sapphire crystal, with the watch fitted with a screwdown crown, ensuring its water resistance of 20atm (200m/660ft). This FXD is driven by the automatic calibre MT5652-U Master Chronometer movement which is protected by a closed screwdown caseback. Lastly, the watch is completed by a one piece khaki nylon strap and secured with a brushed titanium pin buckle. 

Originally purchased in November 2024 and in unworn condition, supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction manual, guarantee booklet, swing tag and international warranty card.
