By the late 1960s, Tudor had refined the Submariner into a highly functional tool watch, incorporating distinctive design elements that would become emblematic of the brand’s identity, most notably the introduction of the angular “snowflake” handset to enhance underwater visibility. It features a black dial bearing the Tudor rose emblem, with applied hour markers and the characteristic snowflake hands, all of which have developed a consistent and attractive patina over time. The stainless steel case retains its robust proportions and is fitted with a Rolex-signed screw-down crown, caseback, and Oyster bracelet, underscoring the shared manufacturing heritage between Tudor and Rolex during this period.
