Breitling Crosswind Special
Breitling Crosswind Special
It features a sizeable stainless case which gives the timepiece an audacious look. The intricate elevated dial is adorned with striking roman numerals, although not all 12 hours are symbolised in this format. The Roman markers only use I, II, IV, V, VII, VIII, X and XI, with the omitted hours represented by luminous dots.
To improve the watch’s functionality at night, the model has super-luminova coating on the Roman figures as well as its three large hands and three small hands. A white arrow is also positioned at the summit of the second hand.
Another unique element of this model is the dome-shaped winding crown and buttons which are more rounded than the conventional style traditionally associated with Breitling. This watch is water resistant to 330ft and is also fitted with a distinctive unidirectional rotating Windrider bezel.
Despite being discontinued in 2004, the Breitling Crosswind retains a timeless legacy with its imposing size, outstanding aesthetic sense and operational excellence. For any modern man intent on making a statement, look no further.
The Breitling Crosswind Special was produced between the years 1997 and 2004 as part of the Windrider range.
