Cartier Santos Watches
The Santos is recognised as the first wristwatch released by Cartier. It was designed by Louis Cartier for his friend, the aviator, Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1906. In effect, this made the Santos one of the first pilot’s watches and helped to make wristwatches a popular accessory for men.
The Santos is historically one of Cartier watches most popular models. The range is typified by its distinctive square bezel and Roman numeral dial. While the watch was originally intended as a men’s wristwatch, it is now available in small, medium and large case sizes to suit men and women.
The Santos has gone through several iterations since its launch in 1908. The latest refresh in 2019 saw the introduction of a chronograph to the collection for the first time. The watch is also available in several case materials including 18k Yellow Gold, White Gold, Titanium and Stainless Steel which are complemented by a collection of Cartier straps and bracelets.
