Jaeger LeCoultre Watches
Jaeger LeCoultre is one of the world’s most revered watch brands. The company can trace its history back to 1558 when Pierre LeCoultre founded a small workshop in the Vallee de Joux Switzerland. But it wasn’t until 1833 that Antonie LeCoultre released the company’s first timekeeping device.
Over the next 10 years, Antonie would develop a reputation for building reliable and accurate timepieces. This reputation was confirmed in 1844 when Antonie revealed the world's most precise timepiece. This achievement was recognised at the Universal Exhibition London in 1847 where Antonie was awarded the Gold Medal for timepiece precision.
In 1907, the brand joined forces with Edmond Jaeger to exclusively produce movements for the luxury jeweller, Cartier. This collaboration eventually resulted in the two companies joining forces to become Jaeger LeCoultre. The company would go on to produce some of the most elegant and refined wristwatches of the mid-twentieth century.
Today, Jaeger LeCoultre watches are highly sought after by collectors. Their watches are the ultimate expression of understated elegance. The brand's design is typified by ultra-thin cases, with understated hands and dials. Because when it comes to Jaeger LeCoultre, it’s all about the movement.
Some of the brand's models have become iconic in their own right. The Reverso is regarded as one of the finest dress watches in the world. While the Memovox is on every watch collector's wishlist. But it is the Grand Complications that really sets this brand apart. These are regarded as some of the finest wristwatches in the world and come with a six-figure price tag to match.
