Longines Watches
Longines was first founded over 190 years ago by Auguste Agassiz and his fellow watchmakers in 1832 in the Swiss village of Saint Imier. With the Name ‘Longines’ being derived from the field ‘Es Longines (long meadows)’ that their factory was built upon and is still located to this day. Longines has always pushed to develop ingenious, highly accurate and elegant innovations to enhance and further the world of timekeeping; perfected through their role as professional timekeeper for such events as the Olympics, Tour de France, Formula 1, World Ski Championships and Ascot, to name but a few. In addition to their numerous timekeeping accolades, they also retain the oldest trademark in the world which is still valid today, and although their logo has evolved over time, their winged hourglass logo has been in constant use since 1867.
