Cartier Santos Galbee, 2319

We are proud to present this iconic Cartier Santos Galbee for sale in mint condition.

Some may not know this, but the Santos was the first collection ever produced by Mr Louis Cartier in 1904 (13 years before the Tank!). Stemming from his relationship with his aviator friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, who often complained that he needed a legible watch which he could wear on the wrist due to his need for the use of both hands whilst flying. Cartier then designed the original Santos to be not only elegant and functional, but above all legible; hence succeeding in creating the first wristwatch for men. 

This version of the Santos, reference W20055D6 comes set in the unisex 29 x 41mm stainless steel case fitted with the classic polished Santos bezel complete with iconic exposed screws. The dial is a silver guilloche with black printed Roman numerals, train-track minute markers, blued sword hands and a date aperture at 3 o'clock. It is fitted with a sapphire crystal glass and the classic Cartier crown complete with blue spinel cabochon. It comes supplied on a matching brushed stainless steel bracelet complete with polished screws and concealed butterfly clasp. It is powered by the calibre 120 automatic movement which is protected by an 8 screw caseback for a water resistance of up to 3atm (30m/100ft).

Originally purchased in February 2005 and in mint condition, this Santos comes with its original inner & outer boxes, instruction booklet, Cartier service documentation (2023), original purchase receipts and warranty booklet. 

This watch benefits from the coverage of its Cartier service warranty until 2025.
