The Luminor Marina is one of Panerai’s most emblematic designs, a watch whose identity is inseparable from the brand’s military and diving heritage. At the heart of that identity is the famous crown-protecting bridge, a feature whose patent was requested in 1955, helping to define the Luminor’s unmistakable silhouette and reinforcing its reputation as a purposeful, performance-led tool watch. In its latest form, the Luminor Marina continues that tradition while introducing meaningful technical upgrades that push the collection further than before.

This example, reference PAM03314, is housed in a 44mm brushed steel case and fitted with the signature crown guard that has long defined the model. The watch features a crisp white sandwich dial with black Arabic numerals and hour markers, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock, creating the clean and highly legible display for which Panerai is known. The dial is paired here with a green rubber strap, giving the watch a bold, contemporary character while remaining true to its utilitarian roots.

One of the biggest changes in this new-generation Luminor Marina is its enhanced 50 BAR / 500 metre water resistance, a major step forward for the collection and a fitting tribute to Panerai’s history in professional diving instruments. The watch is powered by the new Panerai calibre P.980, an automatic movement with a three-day power reserve, stop-seconds function, and a traversing balance bridge for improved stability. A see-through sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement within, while Super-LumiNova X2 on the dial improves low-light visibility. The model also features Panerai’s PAM Click Release System, allowing tool-free strap changes.
