Patek Philippe Nautilus, 3800/1A-010

This iteration of the Nautilus, reference 3800, was first introduced in 1981 and served as a more compact alternative to the iconic reference 3700, the original Nautilus. Designed to cater to those who favored smaller watch sizes during the 1980s, it struck a balance between the large 42mm case of the 3700 and the era's preference for understated proportions. Its blue/grey 'teak' textured dial features applied baton hour indexes, matching polished hands and the classic date feature at 3 o'clock. Most notably, the ref. 3800 introduced a central seconds hand and utilised the in-house Patek calibre 335 SC (calibre 330 SC in models after 1992), both features which set it apart from its larger predecessor. Lastly, it is completed by the iconic integrated stainless steel bracelet for which the Nautilus is famed for, secured by a concealed safety catch clasp.

Originally sold in October 1989 and in mint condition for its age, good edges and not over-polished, supplied with a Patek Philippe service box and service paperwork (November 2023), as well as Patek Philippe archive documentation.
