We are proud to present this incredible Zenith Chronomaster Revival Shadow for sale in mint condition.

The now infamous El Primero was launched in 1969 and its name ‘the first’, was a big statement within the watch industry as both automatic and chronograph watches both existed, just never together before then. Zenith’s choice of name, El Primero, drove the point home. But the moniker was suitable given its pioneering approach. It allowed the balance to oscillate at 36,000 beats per hour, a rate which in turn allowed the measurement of elapsed time to a then unheard of 1/10th of a second with central rotor, column wheel and the other now standard elements of an automatic movement having undergone a remarkable feat of miniaturization. It was such a leap that his very movement is what would be found inside legends the likes of Rolex’s Daytona for the next 30 years.

This version, reference 97.T384.4061/21.C822 comes set in a 37mm matte black titanium case and commemorates an obscure Zenith chronograph prototype from the 1970's that featured a blackened case. It features a non-date black dial with matching triple black chronograph sub dials, luminous hands and indicators, aswell as a black chapter ring with tachymetre scale. Fitted with a domed sapphire crystal glass and exhibition caseback, allowing for a water resistance of 5atm (50m/165ft). Powered by the iconic calibre El Primero which boasts a 50hr power reserve aswell as beating at 36,000vph. Supplied on a matching black cordura effect rubber strap with matte black titanium pin buckle clasp.

Originally sold in December 2021 and in mint condition, supplied as a full and complete set with everything it was originally sold with. Including its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, retail swing tag, warranty card holder and international warranty card. This watch is under its Zenith manufacturer warranty until December 2023.
